Yaygin bir soylenti de ,Turklerin peygamber soyundan geldigi yonundedir.
Bilindigi gibi,Nuh Tufani'ndan sonra yeryuzunde sadece Nuh(a.s.)'a inananlar kalmisti.Hz.Nuh'un ogullarinin ismi Ham,Sam,Yafes ve Kenan idi.Bugun Turklerin ,Yafes'in soyundan geldigi bilinen bir gercektir.Yafes'in oglunun ismi Turk idi.Babasinin olumunden sonra idareyi o eline almis ve o tarihten itibaren O'nun soyundan gelenlere "Turk" denilmistir.
